The backstory

The backstory

Despite both companies starting out in consoles back in the 80’s, Focusrite and Sonnox have always taken on different but complimentary roles in the world of music production and recording. Focusrite made its name in ultra-low-noise, ultra-low-distortion analogue recording consoles, starting with the iconic ISA modules Rupert Neve built for George Martin. Sonnox meanwhile, debuted with the legendary OXF-R3 — the powerful-yet-intuitive digital mixing console — and the Oxford EQ and Dynamics plugins.
