Austen Jux-Chandler is the house engineer at Dean St. Studios – one of London's most central recording studio facilities. Having joined in 2008, he's worked with some of the industry's finest producers and artists, including: Paul Epworth, Tony Visconti, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Paul Weller and Florence + The Machine.
We visited him recently to talk to about the studio, his ethos regarding quality and recording, and most importantly his Focusrite Forte, which he has been using as a recording interface on location. He explains that "when you bring the audio back, it still retains some of the nicer qualities of the higher end pieces of equipment that I have here, so I can feel in some way that I'm taking the studio with me when I go".
