I can't find my plugins in Ableton Live on Windows?

If you are having trouble with installing Plug Ins on a Mac please see this video.

To get your Scarlett Plug Ins (or any other Focusrite or Novation Plug Ins) installed properly on your Windows computer please follow these steps.

Run the Scarlett Plug In Suite installer file you have downloaded from our website:

http://us.focusrite.com/downloads?product=Scarlett+Plug-in+Suite

On the third screen in the installer you will see the path the files are being installed too.  Make sure it reads:

C:\Program Files(x86)\VSTPlugins

***Note that if you are using a 32bit version of Windows you will only have a Program Files folder and not Program Files(x86).  Please use the regular Program Files folder C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins***

Scarlett Plug In Suite File Path

If there is anything after that like \Focusrite or \Steinberg just delete that from the end so you see the path above.

If you have multiple Focusrite or Novation Plug ins or other brand plug ins please install them all in this same location so Ableton Live can find them all.  If they are all in different folders Ableton Live may not be able to locate them all without changing the Custom Folder.

In Ableton Live go to Options > Preferences > File Folder > Plug-In Sources (at the bottom).

Make sure Use VST Plug-In Custom Folder is set to On.

Make sure the VST Plug-In Custom Folder is set to the same file path where you installed the Plug Ins, C:\Program Files(x86)\VSTPlugins

Hit Rescan or close and reload Live.

The Plug Ins will now be present in Live's Plug-Ins area.
